Callas prepares for Mare Performance Test at German top rider Uwe Schwanz’ stables in Thann
The successful mare Callas, bred by the Niedermair family, is currently at the stables of Uwe Schwanz in Thann where she is being prepared by the German top rider Uwe Schwanz for her mare performance test on August 7th. Schwanz will also ride the mare for the test trials.
Last week, Georg Niedermair travelled to Thann especially, to visit his mare and inform himself of her progress.
“I am ever so happy that Uwe is preparing Callas for her big day,” says Niedermair. “We have great expectations of this horse, and of course it is very lucky to have one of the nation’s top riders in the saddle in order to bring her potential out to the fullest.”
Uwe Schwanz, who is one of the nation’s foremost experts for young horses, already knew Callas when she was a filly. “Even then, she impressed me a lot when I saw her on the fields at the Niedermair stables,” says Schwanz. Callas is an extremely friendly and willing horse who puts in a maximum effort and wants to please. It is a great pleasure to work with her.”
Callas, incidentally, was overjoyed at the visit of her owner, who has helped raise her and with whom she has a close bond.
