With his mount Rockbarton, Uwe Schwanz had a successful 3-day show at the big Gut Aichet Dressage Indoors.

After winning the M/A dressage on Friday against the likes of Ulla Salzgeber and Benjamin Werndl, Uwe and Rockbarton placed 9th on Saturday in the Happy Horse/Happy Rain Tour advanced dressage class before taking 5th place this afternoon in the Prix St. Georges Youngster Finals.

"This was his first 4-day show," Uwe said about Rockbarton, "and I am ver pleased with the result, especially considering that this was in indoor show which, for many horses, is not the easiest venue to perform in. Yesterday, we had a bit of a problem in the warm-up ring, but today, Rocky was in very good form again, displaying his special talent for the trot tour. Indoors, he is not always easy to handle, but he has adapted very well to the situation and done a very good job."

A very nice result indeed also for Dr Tina von Block, who is being trained by Uwe Schwanz, and her stallion Lautrec. The pair placed 2nd, against fierce competition, in the advanced level dressage series Happy Horse/Happy Rain. The class was won by Anja Ploenzke, and both Anja and Tina placed before the German Olympic Rider Ulla Salzgeber. Lautrec, incidentally, was the only 7-year old in the class, winning against much older and experienced horses.

"For Lautrec, this show was not only his first of the season," Schwanz said happily, "but it was also his very first advanced level class. What a great result this is indeed, and then against such fierce competition as was at Gut Aichet this weekend!"
