The Equine Star
Lord Sinclair is currently one of the most famous dressage sires in the world and is being considered one of the best of all times. In terms of scope of movement and character strength, few other horses can match his quality. His enormous paces, elegant air and honesty toward the rider have fascinated horse-fans-and experts worldwide. In 1997, he became the top-priced horse at the PSI Auction of Paul Schockemöhle, with the then highest price ever paid anywhere in the world for a sports performance horse: 2.8 million German marks. Lord Sinclair is now one of the big stars at the Paul Schockemoehle stallion station, covering elite mares from all over globe.
Pedigree
The dam, Cleopatra, is by Capitol - Raueck I. She was group winner at the state premium broodmare awards, and top mare at the broodmare performance text in Munich-Riem. He successful career began at the Niedermair estate, cumulating 1994 in the birth of a very special colt: Lord Sinclair.
As the sire of his colt, Martin Niedermair had chosen the top Westphalian stallion Lanciano (by Landgraf - Pilot) who unites in his pedigree two of the most celebrated performance sires ever: the legendary stallions Landgraf and Pilot, both of whom are considered to be among the best breeding sires of all times. Lanciano did his father and maternal grandfather proud from the very start: his enormous presence, beautiful head, and stallion performance test's top rideabilty mark of 140,25 made him into one of the most coveted breeding stallions at the time, passing on an ideal combination of the best possible bloodlines to his offspring.
Achievements
Lord Sinclair has an impressive list of achievements to show for himself, among them:
- Reservechampion of Upper Bavarian Foal Championships in Munich/Germany
- Two-time winner of the German Federal Championships (Bundeschampionat)
- Stallion Performance Test Winner
- Stallion Test Winner in Oldenburg/Germany
Top marks like the overall highest grade of 10 for confirmation, or a rideability index of 9.5 (Federal Championships/Warendorf 1997) were the norm for this exceptional dressage stallion.

At foal shows and championships they are always somewhere in the first ranks and they often bring top prices at elite auctions at home and abroad. One needs only think of such famous Lord Sinclair offspring like:
